Back in 2005, Jo Mitchell was struck by the fact that there was no quality food partner available to go with barbecued, roasted or grilled Lamb, except those boring old sauces and tired old relishes, chutneys and artificially flavoured jellies.
This realisation led to a partnership between Jo Mitchell and Jenny Waterman and the development of a brand new concept in food partner products – Savoury Jams – and the first highly successful and acclaimed Spoonfed Foods product – LAMB JAM.
Jo has a business background in marketing and food retailing and Jenny is a professional cook with a background in food manufacturing. Both share a lifelong love of good food and a passion for turning quality ingredients into memorable meals.
The unique quality flavour combinations that Jo and Jenny have created are unbeatable as the perfect flavoursome food partners for any meat – beef, lamb, pork, turkey duck and chicken – barbecued, roasted, casseroled or cold. Spoonfed Foods Original & Best Savoury Jams are made in Australia from best quality natural ingredients. They are all gluten free with no artificial preservatives. To achieve maximum flavour and complexity, the ingredients are slow cooked in small batches and finished with freshly chopped herbs, a flourish of spice, or fresh lemon zest, a hint of cumin or chilli, pepper or roasted asian spice. Every Jam has a distinct personality and every Jam is a completely different taste sensation, texture, balance and a layering of flavours.
